How Our Barrier Spray Works

Unlike store-bought sprays that treat the air around you, our professional barrier treatment targets the places mosquitoes actually live. Here is exactly what happens during a treatment.

Property Assessment

Our certified technician walks your property to identify mosquito hotspots. Standing water, dense shrubs, shaded borders, and under-deck areas are mapped before any product is applied.

Targeted Application

The barrier spray is applied using professional backpack equipment to shrubs, vegetation undersides, grass lines, fences, and shaded resting areas. Not your flowers, not your lawn — the exact spots where mosquitoes hide during the day.

Formula Binds to Vegetation

As the product dries, it bonds to leaf surfaces and creates a residual barrier. Any mosquito that lands on treated vegetation is eliminated on contact. The formula is rain-resistant once fully dry.

30 Days of Protection Begins

You will notice a significant reduction in mosquito activity within 24 hours. The residual barrier continues working for up to 30 days, with each subsequent treatment building on the last for stronger long-term results.

Treatment Zones

What Makes Our Formula Different

Most DIY sprays target adult mosquitoes in the air. Our professional formula adheres to vegetation surfaces, creating a contact-kill barrier that works continuously between visits. Here is exactly where we apply it on your property.

Shrubs & Bushes

The underside of leaves in dense shrubs are the primary daytime resting zone for mosquitoes. We treat every surface, not just the tops.

Grass Lines & Borders

The transition between lawn and garden beds is a high-activity mosquito corridor. We treat the full perimeter line of your property.

Under Decks & Patios

Shaded, damp areas under decks are prime mosquito shelter. We treat the underside and surrounding vegetation of all deck structures.

Tree Canopies & Low Branches

Low-hanging branches and tree bases provide shade and moisture. We treat accessible tree coverage throughout the property.

Fence Lines & Perimeter

Fences bordering dense vegetation on neighbouring properties are treated to prevent mosquitoes from crossing into your yard.

Breeding Site Management

Standing water in gutters, planters, and low-lying areas is identified and addressed. We advise on drainage improvements that extend treatment results.

Technical Questions About Our Barrier Spray

Specific questions about how the product works? Our team is available 24/7.

01. How is your spray different from what I can buy at a hardware store?

Professional-grade products use micro-encapsulated formulas that bind to vegetation surfaces and release active ingredients gradually over weeks. Store-bought sprays use basic contact formulas that break down within days and do not adhere to surfaces effectively. The concentration, application method, and residual effectiveness are all significantly higher with professional products.

We apply the treatment specifically to mosquito resting areas — shrub undersides, dense vegetation, and shaded borders. We avoid direct application to flowering plants and vegetable gardens. Once dry, our Health Canada-approved formula presents minimal risk to pollinators that visit treated areas during normal activity.

If heavy rain occurs within the first 30 to 60 minutes of application before the product has fully dried, contact us and we will arrange a free re-treatment. Once the product has dried and bonded to vegetation, normal rainfall will not significantly reduce its effectiveness.

For optimal results, we recommend treatments every 3 to 4 weeks throughout mosquito season, from May through September. Each treatment reinforces the previous one, with cumulative results getting stronger over the season. Our Seasonal Shield package automatically schedules all five visits, so you never have to think about it.
